Hard-core MUni Ride (Joaquin Miller Park, Sunday October 9th)

One of the great things about mountain unicycling is that riders of different skill levels can ride the same trails together. Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland has the best singletrack in the East Bay, with lots of redwood roots, rock gardens, and railroad-tie stairs. But the crazy technical sections are connected by easy wide trails, so the less advanced riders can just walk the parts they're not comfortable riding, learn techniques from the experts, and ride the sections they can handle based on their experience and equipment.

We expect that some of the top MUni riders in the world will be in town for this ride, so come along and be awed!

The ride will be mostly up and down hill, with some fairly flat connector trails. The downhills range from "doable by most people" to "I'm not going down that!", and include everything in between. We'll loop around and try to hit all the highlights of the park, including Chapparal, Cinderella, and Big Trees Trail through the redwoods. Come along and test your skills against the best!
