Which of the following statements describes you? Check all that apply:
- I've always wanted to learn to juggle and unicycle.
- I learned how to unicycle when I was a kid, but I haven't ridden one in years.
- I know how to juggle; I'd like to meet some people I can learn how to pass pins with.
- I've got a unicycle; I'm interested in this mountain unicycling thing.
- I'm looking for tips on my five-ball Mills' Mess.
- I'm the freestyle unicycle world champion.
- I just enjoy watching talented people perform.
If any of these describe you, come join us at the second annual Berkeley Juggling and Unicycle Festival! From Friday evening, October 5th, through Sunday afternoon, October 7th, there will be an open gym for juggling, a "construction zone" for those who are learning for the first time, workshops to improve on skills, and plenty of organized juggling and unicycle activities. Last year we had over 400 participants, and this year we expect even more; this is the biggest juggling/unicycling event in Northern California.
On Saturday night we will bring together our best performers for a classic variety show in the beautiful King School theater (admission $15, or buy a package deal with a festival T-shirt for $25).
Workshops
There will be a ton of workshops for every skill level. We will have workshops for jugglers, unicyclists, hooping and even a workshop. See our Workshops page.
Construction Zone (Learn to Juggle)
Let's face it, juggling is cool. What could be better than juggling to increase your fitness, attract the opposite sex and rocket you forward in your career?
Ok, maybe juggling won't solve the world's problems or turn you into that Don Juan (or Juanita) you've always dreamt of being, but juggling is fun! At the Berkeley Juggling Cooperative we strongly believe that everyone can, and should, learn to juggle, and for the newbies out there the Construction Zone is your first stop on the way to juggling nirvana. Give us your attention and your heart, and we promise you'll be juggling in no time.
Jugglers! Do you love teaching new jugglers? We need volunteers to staff the construction zone. If you have what it takes to bring new jugglers to the fold, please contact us to sign-up!
